Bunklor went to the Roman Sanctioned School of Magic to request a magic item.� Sven, the clerk, had Bunklor fill out a lot of forms, but upon realizing that Bunklor wanted a Continual Flame Coin, Sven discarded those forms and had Bunklor fill out a simple form just asking for his name, date and time to pick up the coin, etc.� The price was 115gp + Bunklor had to supply the coin.� Talia invited Divas, Bunklor, Glistar, Gwynne, and Aust to watch her perform at the Wayward Wanderer because she was to be the opening act for the famous bard Bom Tombadil.� While waiting to begin her performance, the city guard Sevrius Rufus came over to flirt with Talia.� When she left to perform, he stayed at the table with the rest of the group.� A friend of Sevrius�s came over to talk business with Sevrius.� By lip-reading, Gwynne discovered this friend was looking for help to go dig up some buried treasure.� Talia came back after her performance but didn�t stay because she wanted to avoid Sevrius.� Sevrius followed her.� Sevrius�s friend, Artilan Swekel seemed very ill and coughed a lot.� Eventually he asked the party to join him upstairs to talk in private about some help he needed.� He was part of a Roman unit that took over a small keep in England.� He claims to know of buried treasure still there and wants to retrieve it soon to pay for some healing.

The next morning, the party purchased some donkeys and a wagon and headed out toward the old Fort Harwich.� They first stop at the Roman Planning Commission building, and, for 5 copper pieces, looked at a map section for 10 minutes.� For 1 copper piece they purchased a piece of paper to make a copy of the map they were looking at.� Then they left town.� They avoided a bombadier beetle along the way.� Saw other people along the way, but the number of people dwindled further away from London.� They stayed in cities the first two nights.� After that they took a road much less traveled (old Fort Harwich road).� While camping out that first night, a Wood Elf (Legolas) came into camp and told how he was running from Goblins who had taken his friend Gimli.� The party agreed to go help Legolas rescue Gimli.� They found two female Goblins at the spot where Gimli had been captured and killed them.� There was also 3 dead male Goblins there (killed by Gimli�s bare hands).

The party tracked the goblins back to a ravine.� In the ravine, the goblins had Gimli tied to a post (Gimli was unconscious) and had a big fire burning nearby.� The goblin cave was also nearby.� A goblin Shaman was preparing to do something to Gimli.� From their perch atop the ravine, the party fired missile weapons at the goblins, killing the Shaman and others (while Talia sang to provide extra skill to all).� Several goblins retaliated by throwing javelins and others ran down the ravine so they could come up the hillside and attack the party.� Other goblins ran into the goblin cave.� Another party of goblins came upon the party from behind in surprise, focusing their attacks on the elves in our party.� Eventually, most all goblins were slain (16 plus the Shaman) or ran away.� Aust was also slain and Glistar went unconscious when (at 0 HP), he cast a fog spell.� As the party retrieved Gimli and searched the bodies of the goblins, 4 more goblins attacked but were quickly dispatched.� The party found 110 copper pieces and 340 gold pieces.� Talia cast detect magic, but none was found.� The party decided to leave the remaining goblins in the cave alone, after some discussion.� The party returned to their campsite, and buried Aust.� They wrote a poem for Aust:

�� Here lies Aust, his life was doused, by a horde of goblins;

�� But in the end, he is our friend, and now there are less goblins.

They considered heading back to a city, but Artilan had some Keoghtom�s ointment to help Glistar and Gimli return to consciousness (Divas and Bunklor both lost 3HP in the fight).

The party slept till noon, then traveled on toward Fort Harwich.� At 6pm, they stopped for a bite of dinner; Glistar became entrapped in a huge spider web.� He was also poisoned by the spider and lost 4 strength points (to be regained 1 per day).� The party killed the spider and found 3,000 copper pieces and a sun rod.

The party traveled on until just after sunset when they spied buildings.� Behind a crude 8� high palisade of 200 by 100 feet lived about 40 poor people.� They live about 500 yards from old Fort Harwich.� Talia entertained the people (Stoddle seemed to be a leader and he thought Talia was cute) and the people allowed the party to stay within the palisade and gave them bread, venison, soup, and wine.� In talking to Gimli, Divas learned that Gimli and Legolas had been slaves together all of their lives for giants.� A week ago, the giants just left their castle and the rumor was they left because they feared the sword Cascair Famhair was around.

Artilan died that night.� They claimed his stuff that included (mercurial Longsword, Short Bow, 10 arrows, 10 masterwork arrows, chain mail, shield, the jar of keoghtoms ointment with 2 applications left, Alchemists fire, and an everburning torch).

The party buried him near old Fort Harwich, then found the secret door along the cliff wall.� The found a circular room that was probably nice two years ago, but damp and old now.� A narrow rough passage led deeper into the cave into two larger natural caverns where they were attacked by a tiny black dragon (Divas was knocked unconscious by its acid and attacks), but they killed it.� They found the treasure of the dragon also (two 50� silk ropes, 1 spyglass, 1 magnifying glass, 1 antitoxin, 12 bullets, 12 silver bullets, a crate of pots and pans, a crate of hemp cloth, a rapier, shortbow, studded leather, potion of spider climb, potion of sneak, steel mirror, disguise kit, traveler�s outfit, peasant�s outfit, thieves tools, 8,600 copper pieces, 600 silver pieces, 180 gold pieces, 60 platinum pieces, 70 lapis lazuli gems (10gp each).

The party began hauling the stuff from the Dragon�s Lair up to the wagon.� During the transition, they were attacked by 18 dire rats (3� long weighing 60 pounds).� They dispatched the rats, but Bunklor and Gwynne were bitten.� Bunklor was unconscious from his three bites, but Arbon, the local village medicine man, got Bunklor up to one HP by the morning.� The next day on the road Bunklor began feeling sick.� The party camped at night, then traveled the next day and reached Culchester (population 2,000) at night fall.� They had a cleric of Demeter cure light wounds on Bunklor (which got him to full HP), but declined a Remove Disease because it cost 200gp and the Cleric said most people recover on their own after a few days (which he did).� The cleric also exchanged most of their copper (8,500) for platinum (17) for a small fee (10gp).� Talia performed to pay for the local lodging.

The next day the party traveled to Chelmsford (a city of about 5,000 people) and spent the night.� The last day the party traveled back to London.� In the morning Divas, Talia, and Bunklor agreed to do chores for Dorvin for two weeks in return for him telling them what the potions were.� Talia also went to a weapons shop to learn what the sword was (mercurial � see Sword and Fist).

The party gave the pots and pans to Ceres, and sold the hemp for 2.5 gold.� This left the party with 1700gp of coins/gems.� The party gave 200 of that to Gimli and Legolas to help them start their new lives.� That left 500gp worth for each of the 5 party members.� This is distributed to each party member as (14 gems worth 10gp each, 15pp each, 85gp each).� Each party member also earned 700xp.
